Gloss mete with printer.

This instrument is widely used to test surface gloss of diversified objects such as papermaking, printing, painting, coatings, etc. The geometry, spectrum and photometric characteristics of instrument accord with the relevant standards.
75° gloss method is mainly applied to coated paper and paper board, but also can be used for uncoated paper and board or low printing glossiness of the printed paper and board.
20° gloss method is mainly applied to cast-coated paper, satin paper, glazed paper and other high gloss paper and paper board, but also for high printing glossiness of the printed paper and board, and the high glossiness of printing ink and paint, etc.
45° gloss method is mainly applied to determine aluminum foil paper, vacuum aluminizing paper and other metal complex paper and board.
60° gloss method is mainly applied to various paper, coating, painting, etc.

4. Main features
Adopts optical-electro-mechanical integration and microcomputer control technology, the instrument has the functions of test data processing and printout. It can measure the surface glossiness of various objects.
(1) The instrument has a wide range of incident and reflected measuring angles. (75°, 20°, 60°or 45°)
(2) Uses polished black gloss as glossiness standard. Refractive index is 1.567, and gets ideal glossy surface of black gloss, the glossiness is 100.
(3) Uses the technology of range expansion, the instrument can measure glossiness of any surface (from the lowest glossiness zero to ideal mirror).
(4) Power cut-off memory and the instrument print test reports automatically. The computer memory have zero adjustment, sample number, statistical calculation and digital display, and print measured values, average value and statistical results.

1. Brief Introduction

 6. Directions

(1). Press the red POWER key to start the gauge, and “CAL?” is displaying in the screen, make the gauge measure-window pointing at the black quartz crystal standard board, press the yellow “OP”key to confirm adjustment operation, when “CAL OK” display the screen, the gauge adjustment finished, and then press yellow OP key to measure the black quartz crystal standard board, if the reading on the screen is correct, the adjustment is valid.

(2). After finishing adjustment operation, the gauge is entering into the measure state. Put the gauge on the measured sample, appoint the measure window to the measured object, press the yellow OP key, the gauge starts to measure, the luster value of the measured object will display on the screen while there is buzz sound, (2: ???----the luster value of 20°; 6: ???----the luster value of 60°;  8: ???----the luster value of 85°).

 please note that the measured object should be leveled off;

(3). The gauge can be turned off with hand, press “POWER” key, it is in the close state, there is nothing displaying on the screen; if there is no measure operation in the gauge for 3 minutes, it will turn off automatically.  

7. Matters required attention

(1). It should avoid strong light direct radiation; or it will affect the measure precision. 

(2). The standard panel of the gauge should be kept clean, please do not touch the surface with fingues. If there is dirt on the surface, the measure precision will be affected. Wipe it with lens cloth or absolute alcohol.

(3). When the battery is running out, the gauge will display Battery low on the screen, which needs to change battery. Open the battery cover, replace the old battery with the new one, please pay attention to the joint line polarity. The battery should be changed when it runs up, otherwise, it stored for a long time may flow the liquid which cause damage of the instrument. It should be taken out and keep proper if it is not used for a long time.
